So is Venuzuela shaping up to be this generation's Bay of Pigs?.....which I believe was also CIA under shady authorization. History does rhyme it seems.

I came across this new series on PBS called Deadlock. Started last year. A panel of experts brought together for moderated discussions about hypothetical government and societal issues.

Reminded me of the OG moderated panel discussion PBS show, from the 1980's, about the Constitution and real/hypothetical issues around it.

Thank you for this timely piece. I have faith that eventually, Trump, Ellis and the rest of the Trump Administration will face consequences for their illegal and unconstitutional actions.

Some reading on the areas of covert, clandestine, and “zero footprint” activities: the books of Douglas Valentine; Jeffrey Bale's two-volume The Darkest Side of Politics; Daniele Ganser's NATO's Secret Armies (Gladio, P2, etc. - the stay behind networks); Annie Jacobsen's (fellow Princeton alum of both Asha and I) Surprise, Kill, Vanish; Zero Footprint by Simon Chase and Ralph Pezzulo. // Also, Way of the Knife, Relentless Strike, and Killer Elite (about ISA aka Gray Fox aka Baby Delta aka Northern Virginia Army aka The Activity aka…).

And on the fiction (faction?) side, my personal favourite, RJ Hillhouse’s “Outsourced”.

Very hard to know what's really going on in SAD/SOG or SAD/PAG, or Waived Unacknowledged SAPs, even for the Gang of Eight. The units/individuals involved is are both practiced in deceit and incredibly paranoid.

We'll get a sense of just how difficult, I hope, on November 21st, when the "Age of Disclosure" documentary is released on Prime, and in some US theatres. I mean, former DASD-I Chris Mellon was a member of SAPOC, no? (https://www.theageofdisclosure.com/)

As the CIA gets the Regime Change band back together, my biggest concern about next week is that Trump will use No Kings protests as an excuse to invoke the insurrection act. I guess we'll find out soon.

Not surprising that the INCOMPETENT, DEMENTED, FASCIST-IN-CHIEF, CHILD-RAPIST, BIGOTED, CRIMINAL FRAUDSTER, LOSER, DRAFT DODGER, AND NAZI DICTATOR and his co-conspirators are taking this route.

But why aren’t the CIA's actions constrained by the Geneva Conventions and other laws and rules?

On another matter, where was cancun cruz?

The word from my job is that we’re still on shaky enough ground that faculty are banned from attending today’s protests. We can’t give funders a reason valid or otherwise to yank our operating cash.

Very unfortunate that your administration has elected to concede your rights under the Constitution. The only way to fight back is to organize sufficient faculty support that the administration would face significant consequences (financial and otherwise) should they seek to suppress your First Amendment rights. As Robert Hubbell says, we are not sheep - we are Americans with the absolute right to petition our government.
