Just because USAID does do some good, doesn't mean that it is untouchable as far as reform goes. If only a small portion of the programs identified as waste that USAID has funded are true, the whole system needs to be killed and rebuilt with financial integrity.

Dems should use the many VERY POSITIVE public comments Marco Rubio and Ivanka made about U.S. AID a couple years ago and make their own Super Bowl commercial. They’re both public figures and spoke out while in public service positions. Their comments — especially Rubio — are right on about the benefits of the program to millions in need… and to U.S. soft power. JFK made a speech about it when he created the program, which would be great to use with the Rubio and Ivanka public comments praising US AID.
That's before the knew it was corrupted.
Unfortunately, the Democrats all seem to think that getting themselves reelected is the most important way to fight off Stump and Mush - otherwise known as S&M. Just because USAID does do some good, doesn't mean that it is untouchable as far as reform goes. If only a small portion of the programs identified as waste that USAID has funded are true, the whole system needs to be killed and rebuilt with financial integrity.
Too many in Congress from both sides of the isle have been using USAID and other similar programs to launder money. How is it possible for many of them to be multimillionaires on Legislative pay? Insider trading, yep that is a big one.
All Congressional programs need to be reevaluated and have the bureaucracy and redundancy eliminated. To think otherwise makes you part of the problem.
