This is entirely in keeping with the Trump regime's efforts to wholly dismantle the United States government as anything other than a tool to defend and perpetuate Trump's power. The letter from Patel, dismissing Mr. Giardini, is nauseating. What Ms. Rangappa's account lacks, as is so often the case in articles documenting the destruction of the United States, is any clear set of action steps that a reader might be able to take to oppose the imposition of a dictatorship.

I would add that I don’t really have any good ideas either. Join Indivisible, call your Congressmen, support the ACLU and other organizations fighting the Trump dictatorship in court…. They all ring somewhat hollow to me in the face of the wanton and apparently unstoppable smashing of US institutions.

It’s tragic really…

after reading former head of the FBI’s counterintelligence, Frank Figliuzzi, and his 2021 stellar book “inside the bureau’s code of excellence, The FBI Way: Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity” I’m even more dismayed…

..yet we must somehow remain hopeful & committed to striving daily toward our VALUES — the pillars of our Democracy— we see disappearing before our eyes.

In the end, good will prevail; if it hasn’t, it’s not the end. This may take the rest of our lives so we must pace ourselves for a marathon, not a sprint.

But The Time is NOW.
