Asha, I was so impressed with your interview with Scott Shapiro I decided to purchase his latest book you recommended, Fancy Bear Goes Fishing… the technical aspects are tough for me at 72 years old, however it is worth my time to become informed as to the dangers America faces… Thanks, looking forward to our next class… Fred

Asha, excellent episode of “It’s Complicated”. You really got me to thinking on the F W Georgia situation. I’m not a lawyer, so I’ll stay in my lane. However, I am a Kentucky resident and UK alum sports fan which qualifies me as a college basketball expert. 😊 You missed a golden opportunity to brag, why yes Princeton has an excellent basketball program, we eliminate Kentucky from the NCAA in ‘23, and the women’s team recently defeated Kentucky. That’s pretty darn good. 😌 ✌️peace, see ya Tuesday.

What does “oath of office” mean? I’ve been wondering this for well over a decade. I used to think - or at least I’ve been repeatedly told - that it’s a higher standard; but if the past 11 or so years have shown, it’s actually the inverse opposite of that. Seriously, what does “oath of office” mean?

One other thing to note. E. Jean Carroll was only one of the women who gone public about Trump sexually assaulting them. https://www.businessinsider.com/women-accused-trump-sexual-misconduct-list-2017-12

I think Ms. Carroll would be best served to sell the rights to her judgement now as I think it unlikely for her to live another 20 years, which will be about the time Trump and/or his heirs exhausts all appeals and a court actually seizes any assets for non-payment, assuming any assets remain in the year 2044.

Tom Nichols is right.

Now, one of the things I have always found bizarre about Trump, besides the fact a draft-dodging man-child could ever be seen as an Alpha, is this weird cult-like devotion to him in the South. Having grown up in the South, I spent my share of time in Southern households. If I ever acted even remotely like Trump in one of those households, the belt was coming off. But somehow, such behavior is now magically OK with many of those same exact people.

Well, those same folks also can't seem to explain how supposedly proud Southerners gave their undying devotion to a Yankee grifter.

I like to remind them of the Yankee part every chance I get.

Doesn’t he owe her $88.3 million including the original $5M? Or does this trial phase cancel out the original $5M?
