You are simply amazing, Asha! I don’t know how you do ALL that you do with only 24 hours in a day, but I hope someday to see you with your own time slot on MSNBC, CNN or another network!

I don’t know if I could have kept myself from calling out the rhetoric of Trump’s minion during the BBC clip. He knew the playbook well - minimize Trump’s potential criminal behaviors, cast Trump as the victim & the strong man at the same time, cast off the real threat of violence... The kicker for me was “I’m sure Trump is concerned about violence.” Trump revels in violence done in his name.

Asha, thanks for the recap. It has been a tough week to keep up.

I did note a slight change in your delivery and explanation for the BBC audience. Well done. 🙌

I try to be more serious on BBC/PBS. Not sure they can handle the full Asha 😂

I had a laugh at the BBC anchor, referring to your ‘very complex diagram’ .... and the Mr. Lanza, who is so indoctrinated that he is using the term Witch-hunt! There’s not much to laugh at today, though: the death threats, the ‘anthrax’ type scares, and the traitors in Congress visiting January 6 criminals as if they are being mistreated. SMH. I look forward to your appearances and insights. Thank you!

At what point does “political speech” rise to the level of a crime...or negligence?! It is reasonably foreseeable that Trump’s words could give rise to violence...

Seems to me like a good current example of stochastic terrorism: "the public demonization of a person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act, which is statistically probable but whose specifics cannot be predicted."

I'm not a lawyer and so don't know the technical ins and outs of it, but as a practical matter or going just by common sense it sure seems to go far beyond political speech and amount to threatening a government official and inciting insurrection against the government. If juxtaposing a photo of himself holding a baseball bat and showing an angry facial expression with a photo of DA Bragg isn't a blatant, explicit threat of extreme physical violence, I don't know what would be.

I echo the question of when the ‘non-truth’ posts cross over to stochastic terrorism? MTG’s pilgrimage to see coup participants, Trump’s posts and the Waco rally tomorrow on the 30th anniversary of that catastrophe ...all add up to quite the anti-democratic event list for this week!

Business Insider says Trump’s haul was $1.5million in 3 days after the ‘arrest watch’ His fundraising overall has been anemic since declared for 2024.
